What I do

Day Job

I am currently employed as an Assistant Vice President at a reinsurance brokerage in Minneapolis. I assume you may not know what reinsurance is, so I will explain what I do, hopefully without boring you. I wake up, go into the office and mostly work with excel spreadsheets and PowerPoints for most of my day. The work is somewhat similar to other financial service roles. I enjoy the work given that I get the opportunity to work alongside impressing finance professionals across the country and internationally.

Side Hustle

I like to find unique ways to provide economic value for the betterment of society, in other words, make money. I have been actively reselling sneakers since 2016 through my small business, Reseller Central (check out the Instagram page below). I find it enjoyable trying to find ways to cop limited pairs and enjoy practicing negotiation tactics with 15-year-old “entrepreneurs” in the secondary sneaker market.

To have a life

Besides nearly working myself to death most of the time (see below, former full-time student and full-time pizza delivery driver) I try to find some time to do activities that I find enjoyable. These include playing and watching sports such as basketball and football, reading various self-development books that trick me into thinking I am being productive with my time, and spending time with family and friends.

Finance "professional" in Minneapolis

As stated above, I am currently working the financial services industry, specifically in reinsurance. I recently graduated college from the Carlson School of Management while working full-time. I have a strong interest in becoming more involved in the fintech space. I also have recently been working on some python projects using the selenium framework to create an automation script to speed up the checkout process when online shopping.
